Nothing says indulgent like rich, chocolate fudge. And our fudge recipe requires just seven ingredients and zero baking, so it’s the perfect treat for a lazy day.
Our fudge recipe is made with our Smart Sugar Coconut Sugar Blend, so it has half the sugar of regular fudge with just as much sweetness. It’s paleo, vegan, and gluten-free, so everyone can enjoy it!
½ cup coconut oil + 1 tablespoon for greasing
¾ cup cocoa powder
½ cup natural, creamy almond butter or nut butter of choice
⅓ cup Smart Sugar - Coconut Sugar blend
⅓ cup water
1 teaspoon arrowroot starch
½ teaspoon salt
Optional: flaky sea salt, for topping
Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan with coconut oil and line with parchment paper.
Combine Smart Sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and stir constantly until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then add the arrowroot starch and continue to stir until all ingredients are blended and the mixture thickens to a syrup-like consistency. Set aside to cool.
Melt the coconut oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add the cocoa powder, almond butter, Smart Sugar syrup, and salt and stir until evenly combined.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before cutting into squares.
Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired and serve cool.
